As part of the Environment Day celebrations, the Department of Travel and Tourism, in collaboration with the Tourism Club, organized a Poster Making Competition on 5 June 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in Room No. 106. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about environmental conservation, sustainable living, and the importance of protecting natural resources. It also sought to enhance students’ understanding of environmental issues and encourage them to become responsible citizens committed to environmental sustainability. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from eight students of Semester 3 and Semester 5. The theme of the competition was “Promoting Environmental Awareness, Responsible Travel, and a Sustainable Future.” The guidelines specified that participation was individual, posters had to be original and hand-drawn on A3-sized sheets, any drawing medium could be used except digital art, and the posters had to reflect the given theme. The participants displayed remarkable creativity and awareness through their posters, effectively conveying messages related to environmental protection and sustainable living. Hana Harish (S3) secured the First Prize, while Sreya V (S3) and Fathima Nidha T (S5) shared the Second Prize. Sanjay C (S3) won the Third Prize. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners, and all participants received certificates of appreciation. The event was a great success in promoting environmental awareness and inspiring students to contribute towards a greener, cleaner, and healthier planet.
