PG Department of Social Work-Panel Discussion on the topic “Empowering The Youth: A call for Awareness and Action”

The program began with the inauguration ceremony, where Mr. Shabeer, Secretary of KAPS Malappuram Chapter, lit the lamp and officially inaugurated the event.
Miss Anitha Parveen J, HOD, PG Department of Social Work, Gems Arts and Science College, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the importance of the panel discussion and the relevance of the topic.
The keynote address was delivered by KAPS Malappuram Chapter Coordinator, Treasurer, and Assistant Professor, Sree Shankaracharya University Tirur Regional Centre Social Work Department, Swalih Sir. The keynote address set the tone for the panel discussion, providing valuable insights and perspectives on the topic.
The panel discussion was moderated by Mr Anas Tharakan, Assistant Professor, Gems ASC and featured a diverse panel of experts, including:
1. Priya Variar, Psycho-Social Counselor and President of KAPS Malappuram Chapter
2. Mr. P.M. Fasal, Deputy District Education and Media Officer
3. Mr. Safeer, Principal, MSTM College, Perinthalmanna
4. Miss Gadhaa, District Coordinator, Vimukthi Mission
5. Miss Adheeba, Student Wing Vice President
The panel discussion was engaging and informative, with panelists sharing their experiences, expertise, and perspectives on the topic. The discussion was followed by a Q&A session, where the audience had the opportunity to engage with the panelists.
The felicitation ceremony was led by Mr. P.M. Fasal, Mr. Safeer, and Miss Gadhaa, who delivered felicitations and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and panelists.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Gopika M, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Social Work, Gems Arts and Science College.

Total number of 51 outside students and 40 Social work students from Gems college where participated in the program.
