'HUMANTA '25 National Social Work Conference

The 'HUMANTA '25 National Social Work Conference, themed "Social Work 360°: Exploring Impact, Challenges, and Future Pathways" organized by the PG Department of Social Work at GEMS Arts and Science College, Malappuram, successfully concluded. This conference explored the diversity of social interventions and critically analyzed emerging opportunities and challenges in the field of social work education. More than 100 students from leading colleges and universities across India and beyond participated in the event.
Dr. B.G. Unni (Academic Director, GEMS College) inaugurated the conference. The keynote speakers included Dr. Rajendra Baikady (Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, Central University of Kerala) and Suhail Babu (Expressive Arts Therapist, Social Worker). Dr. Naveen Mohan (Principal, GEMS College) presided over the conference.
GEMS College Director P.T. Hamsa, along with Muhammad Rihas, Abin P.C., Anas Tharakan, and Pooja Jayaraj (Assistant Professors GEMS college,) extended their best wishes. Anita Parveen J., Head of the Department of Social Work, GEMS College, welcomed the gathering, while Gopika M.(Assistant Professor, GEMS College) delivered the vote of thanks.
The conference served as a significant global platform for academic discourse, with the presentation of 38 research papers. Dr. Safeer A (Principal, MSTM College, Perinthalmanna) and Dr. Vinci Abraham (Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, Christ College, Irinjalakkuda) served as the evaluators for the paper presentations.
By examining innovative opportunities and unique challenges in the field of social work, the conference became an inspiring platform for students and researchers alike.
