The PG Department of Social Work, GEMS Arts and Science College, Ramapuram, organized a Workshop on Office Automation on 13th August 2025 at 9:30 AM in the Computer Science Lab. The session was handled by Mr. Anoos Babu, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science, who introduced the participants to a wide range of office automation tools and highlighted their significance in both academic and professional contexts. Through detailed explanations, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice sessions, students were able to explore the practical applications of these tools in managing documents, data, and presentations more efficiently. The workshop created an engaging and interactive learning environment that not only familiarized students with the technical aspects of automation but also allowed them to build confidence in applying these skills independently. A total of 33 students actively participated in the session, making it both lively and productive. Participants expressed that the training was highly beneficial, as it provided them with practical exposure to automation tools, enhanced their technical competence in documentation and data management, and deepened their understanding of how automation contributes to improved efficiency and productivity in academic as well as professional tasks. Overall, the workshop was well-received, leaving the students better equipped with essential digital skills and prepared to integrate office automation tools effectively in their future endeavors.
