PG Department of Social Work conducted, the Alumni Lecture Series 11successfully via Google Meet on 29th December 2025. The topic, “Role of Social Worker in Medical Projects,” was expertly handled by Kasthoorba K, Project Technical Support at Amrita Hospital, Kochi.

The session started with a welcome speech by Fathima Anfal, Second Year MSW Student. The whole session provided valuable insights into the role of social workers in medical settings, highlighting their contributions to patient care and healthcare teams. The resource person shared practical experiences and examples, engaging students in discussion.

A total of 27 students participated in the session, which concluded with a Q&A, enhancing their understanding of social work in healthcare. The interactive session was a great learning experience for the students, providing them with a deeper understanding of the role of social workers in medical settings. The program outcome was satisfactorily met, with students gaining a better understanding of the topic and its practical applications. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by miss Anjana K T , Second Year MSW Student.
