Flash Mob Awareness Programme

The PG Department of Social Work, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Government District Hospital, Perinthalmanna, organized a Flash Mob Awareness Programme at Market City Mall, Perinthalmanna, on 14 June 2026 as part of the observance of World Blood Donor Day. The programme was inaugurated by MLA Najeeb Kanthapuram, who highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraged the public to participate in this life-saving initiative. Eight students from the department performed a flash mob to raise awareness about blood donation, while other students actively engaged in public awareness activities and programme coordination. An informative talk session was conducted by the staff of the Government District Hospital, Perinthalmanna, focusing on the significance of blood donation, donor eligibility, and the need for maintaining adequate blood reserves. The programme attracted considerable public attention and successfully promoted awareness regarding voluntary blood donation and its role in saving lives.
