Alumni Lecture Series-5

PG Department of Social Work organized the Alumni Lecture Series-5, held on June 30, 2025, featured Fathimath Shahla E, a social worker and AH counselor, who delivered a comprehensive one-hour lecture on "Ups and Downs: Depression and Bipolar Disorders." The event saw participation from 21 students and included a welcome address by Shuhana Farvin and a vote of thanks by Shahma P P. The lecture provided valuable insights into the complexities of depression and bipolar disorders, covering symptoms, causes, coping strategies, and treatment options. It also emphasized the importance of reducing stigma surrounding mental health conditions. The session was particularly helpful for students in enhancing their academic understanding of mental health issues.
