The Department of Physical Education, in association with the GEMS NSS Unit, successfully organized the Olympic Day Celebration on 24 June 2026 under the programme titled "Koottayottam." The event was conducted to commemorate Olympic Day and to promote the values of unity, friendship, excellence, and the importance of physical fitness among students and staff.
The programme began with the Flag Hoisting ceremony by Dr. A. Finose, Vice Principal, who addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Olympic movement in inspiring healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship.
Following the inauguration, students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the Koottayottam (Unity Run), spreading the message of fitness, togetherness, and community participation. The event witnessed active involvement from all participants and was conducted successfully with the support of the Department of Physical Education and the GEMS NSS Unit.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Vice Principal, faculty members, NSS volunteers, participants, and organizers for making the Olympic Day Celebration a memorable and successful event.
