ANTI-DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The Department of Physical Education organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme on 24th June 2025 at M.P. Narayanamenon Hall. The programme aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug use and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among the youth.
The session was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Naveen Mohan, who stressed the importance of maintaining discipline and self-control in life. The resource person, Mr. Sunil Kumar from the Excise Range Office, led an informative and interactive session, highlighting the physical, mental, and social impacts of drug abuse. He also explained the legal consequences and shared real-life experiences to create awareness among students.
The programme received an active response from the participants, who took a pledge to stay away from drugs and encourage others to do the same. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by a student representative.
Overall, the programme was highly informative and effective in spreading the message of a drug- free campus and society.
