SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME "COMMUNICATION & CAREER "
On August 20, 2018, the PG Department of Commerce organized a skill development programme on "Communication & Career " in the college seminar hall. The programme aimed to enhance the participants' understanding of effective communication skills and their importance in career development. Mr. Abdul Latheef.KT, an Assistant Professor at MES Kalladi College - Mannarkkad, was invited as the resource person for the session. The event commenced at 10:30 am, with 60 students actively participating in the programme. Mr. Abdul Latheef K T started the session by emphasizing the significance of effective communication in professional life. He discussed various aspects of communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. The programme also included interactive sessions where students had the opportunity to practice and improve their communication skills. Mr. Abdul Latheef K T provided guidance and practical tips to enhance their spoken and written communication abilities, emphasizing the importance of clarity, conciseness, and professionalism in conveying messages. The skill development programme on "Career & Communication" was highly beneficial for the participants. It provided them with valuable insights into effective communication strategies and its role in career development. The interactive sessions and practical activities facilitated their understanding and application of communication skills in various professional contexts. The PG Department of Commerce extends its gratitude to Mr. Abdul Latheef K T for his valuable contribution. Special thanks go to the organizing committee for their efforts in arranging the program. The skill development programme on "Communication & Career" conducted by the PG Department of Commerce was successful.

WORKSHOP ON WOMEN & EMPLOYMENT
PG Department of Commerce in association with IQAC conducted a workshop on Women and Development on 22/03/2023 Wednesday at 10.30AM. The programmer was started with a silent prayer continued with welcome speech was done by SIVAKUMAR K Assistant Professor&HOD, PG Department of Commerce. The Program me was inaugurated by Abdul Rasheed E, District Women and Child Development officer. He delivered an informative speech regarding the current status of women in various fields of science, art etc. The felicitation was done by MOHAMMMED ASHRAF - Vice Principal & Associate Professorof PG Department of Commerce Gems Arts and Science College, Ramapuram. He also delivered a speech on education, employment etc., a women should attain in the scenario. Lastly the program me was concluded by conducting a group discussion. In that session the speaker divides the students to different groups for expressing their views or opinions. At last the program me was windup by delivering vote of thanks done by Program mecoordinator IRSHAD P, Assistant Professor PG Department of Commerce.
