DISCUSSION ON GENDER EQUALITY
PG Department of commerce in association with IQAC conducted a discussion on the topic gender equality on 04-10-2018 at 11am. Venue of the programme is room no. 602. The program was started with a silent prayer continued with welcome speech by SIVAKUMAR.K, Assistant Professor, HOD of PG Department of Commerce. The program was inaugurated by Naveen Mohan, Principal of GEMS Arts & Science College, Ramapuram. The felicitation was done by Mohammed Ashraf, Associate Professor PG Department of Commerce & Vice Principal GEMS Arts & Science College, Ramapuram. Later a discussion was conducted on the topic Gender Equality. In that session the moderator divides the students to different groups for expressing their views and opinions. 20 students consisted in each group discussion. At last programme was wounded up by the vote of thanks of Mrs. Saritha, Assistant Professor PG Department of Commerce.

PG Department of Commerce of GEMS Arts and Science College in association with IQAC organized a Seminar on May 15th Monday at 10.00 A.m. on the topic “LEVERAGING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS BY YOUNG Innovators Old Library Hall. The resource person of this program was Mr. Rafeeq P. Assistant Professor and IQAC coordinator of MAJILIS Art and Science College, Puramannur. The audience of the program was PG students of Gems Arts and Science College and Nasra Arts and Science College. The programme started with a silent prayer continuing with a welcome speech done by Saritha. A, Assistant Professor PG Department of Commerce. After that Presidential address was done by Sivakumar K HOD, PG Department of Commerce, and the Felicitation was done by Mohammed Ashraf M, Associate Professor and Vice Principal of Gems Arts and Science College. Next was the seminar by RAFEEQ Sir on the topic of Intellectual Property Rights. It was an interaction session. He interacted with the students to make them more attentive in the seminar. He covers more than 20 slides to get the Students on the idea regarding IPR. After that, he collects feedback from 5 or more students. On the part of the concluding section, he conducted a game online based on the Seminar. The winners of the game that is first and second position go to students of our college and the third prize goes to students of Nasra College. Around 27 students and teachers participated in this seminar. At last on the part of winding up, a Memento was given by our HOD to the guest to show our gratitude, and finally vote of thanks was done by Mohammed Ramees P, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce.
