As part of the observance of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Anti Human Trafficking Club of GEMS Arts and Science College (Autonomous) organized a film screening on 31st July 2025. The screening featured the internationally acclaimed film "Trade" (2007), which powerfully portrays the harsh realities and human impact of trafficking.
The program aimed to raise awareness among students about the global issue of human trafficking and to foster empathy and critical thinking through visual storytelling. A total of 67 students from various departments participated in the event.
The screening was followed by an open discussion where students shared their reflections and thoughts on the issue. The session helped deepen understanding of the emotional and social consequences of trafficking and emphasized the urgent need for collective action against such exploitation.
The program successfully met its objective of sensitizing students to the critical issue of human trafficking and reinforcing their role as socially responsible individuals.
