VAYANAVARAGHOSHAM 2025

The Reading Empowerment Committee, in association with the Vaikhari Literacy Club and the Department of Language, organized a four-day literary event titled “Vayanavaraghosham 2025” from 17th June to 20th June 2025. The programme aimed to foster reading habits, promote literary awareness, and encourage students to engage actively with books and creative expression.
The inaugural ceremony was held on 17th June 2025 at MP Narayanamenon Hall at 10.00 a.m. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Dicruzz, Assistant Professor, Malayalam University. In his keynote address, he spoke on “Vayanayude Vathilukalum Ezhuthinte Ezhuthappurangalum”. He highlighted the importance of reading as a foundation for creativity and critical thinking and encouraged students to embrace the joy of reading as a lifelong practice. His inspiring words set a meaningful tone for the celebration.
On the second day, 18th June 2025, a Book Review Competition was held at the Library and Research Center at 3.00 p.m. Students participated enthusiastically, presenting insightful reviews of books they had read. The competition aimed to nurture critical appreciation and interpretative skills, providing students a platform to express their thoughts and literary understanding.
The third day, 19th June 2025, featured a Library Visit to the GEMS Library for students from Government UP School, Panangangara, and Al Ameen School, Mangada. The visit helped young learners understand the significance of libraries and reading culture. Smt. Smitha Pramod, Librarian, shared her valuable experiences and inspired students to make reading a part of their daily life.
The event concluded on 20th June 2025 with the Book Launch of “Poove Engane Chuvvannithre”, written by Mr. Jeevesh M. The book was introduced to the audience by Ms. Seethal P, Assistant Professor, Department of Language. It was published by Sri P. K. Parakkadavu, Kerala Sahithya Academy Award winner, and the first copy was received by Dr. Naveen Mohan, Principal, during the function held at MP Narayanamenon Hall at 10.00 a.m.
The four-day Vayanavaraghosham 2025 successfully celebrated the essence of reading and literature, leaving a lasting impact on the campus community.
