As part of the Anti-Ragging Week celebrations, a creative and engaging Photo/Selfie Corner was set up on 14th August 2025 at Gems Arts and Science College. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of a ragging-free campus through a fun, student-friendly medium.The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Naveen Mohan, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the need for continuous efforts to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive college environment. He appreciated the innovative approach taken by the organizing team to spread the message of anti-ragging.
The program was also graced by IQAC Coordinator Dr. Finose, Vice Principal Dr. Abdusamad, faculty members, and the Anti-Ragging Squad. All dignitaries took part in the photo session, encouraging students to join the campaign in solidarity against ragging. The Photo/Selfie Corner was designed with the directions of UGC. Students were invited to take selfies and group photos, which they later shared on social media platforms with designated hashtags to spread awareness beyond the campus. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all departments, who appreciated the fresh and interactive approach. It served as a platform to not only express their support for a ragging-free campus but also strengthen bonds with peers in a positive, inclusive environment. The Photo/Selfie Corner initiative successfully combined awareness with creativity, reinforcing the campaign’s core message in a memorable way. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, staff, and student volunteers for making the campaign a vibrant success.
