2nd ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING
Second academic and research review committee meeting was held online on 19th December 2020. The programme started at 11 AM by the opening remarks of Shri Manjalamkuzhi Ali, Chairman, Gems Arts and Science College. Shri MVasudevan, Vice Chairman, Dr.BGUnni, Director-Academics and Research, Chairman-ARRC, Dr.Naveen Mohan, Principal and Member Secretary, ARRC were present. The external expert committee members are Prof(Dr.)IndiraDevi, Professor of Agricultural economics, Directorof Research(Retd), Kerala Agricultural University, Prof(Dr.) NP Hafiz Mohammed, Prof.of Sociology, University of Calicut. Professor Dr. VS Sharma, Former chief scientist, CSIR-National geophysical research Institute, Hyderabad, along with Heads of the Departments of the College were present at the meeting. Prof(Dr.)MNasser. Pro VC, University of Calicut could not attend the meeting due to some official engagements.

The PG Department of commerce, Gems Arts and Science College conducted a webinar on the Topic “Different dimensions of project report preparations” on 22th September 2020, Tuesday from 2.pm to 3.pm. The resource person for the session was SIVAKUMAR.A, ACMA, Assistant professor, Sree Neelakanta, Sanskrit College, Pattambi, Palakkad. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Sivakumar, HOD, PG Department of commerce. He addressed the participants and described the institutional role in convening such programme. Mr. Unneen, Assistant Professor being the webinar moderator, introduced the resource person Sivakumar.A. The resource person discussed about how to prepare a project report and what are the steps to be followed while preparing project report in a simple way. The important points covered were: Introduction, gathering materials, arranging materials and structuring the Project report, conclusion. The participants were given opportunity to clarify their doubts during the last 15 minutes allocated for question answer session. It was an interactive session with active participation by students. The resource person satisfactorily responded all the queries raised by the participants. A total of 130 students attended the seminar. Feedback by using Google form was also given immediately after the event. The technical side of the programme was handled by Mr. Niyaf, Assistant professor. Overall, the webinar got good response.
