The Department of Multimedia and the PG Department of English Language and Literature, in association with the Information and Publication Committee, successfully launched the college newspaper titled GEMS Gazette on 9th April 2025 (Wednesday) at the M.P. Narayana Menon Hall. Centered on the theme “Where Human Rights Meet Responsible Journalism,” the event celebrated student-led reporting grounded in ethics and social awareness.

The program commenced at 1:30 PM with a warm welcome address, followed by the official inauguration of the newspaper at 1:35 PM. At 1:45 PM, the resource person, Mr. Vasudevan Master from GEMS ASC, Ramapuram, delivered an insightful address on the importance of responsible journalism in the context of human rights. This was followed by the introduction of the editorial team at 2:00 PM, and a brief session on the highlights of the first issue at 2:10 PM. The event concluded with a vote of thanks at 2:20 PM, wrapping up by 2:30 PM.

Most of the students from S4 BA Multimedia and S4 BA English actively participated in the program, contributing to its lively atmosphere and success. The event was well-received by both students and faculty.
