YOGA FOR HER – EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH WELLNESS

The PG Department of Microbiology conducted an online wellness program titled “Yoga for Her: Empowering Women Through Wellness” on April 26, 2025, at 10:30 AM via Zoom. The session aimed to promote physical and mental well-being among women through yoga. Ms. Resna N K, Assistant Professor and Head, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of self-care in today’s fast-paced world.
The session was led by Ms. Steni K Thomas, Associate Yoga Teacher at Shubh Yoga Foundation. She guided participants through simple and effective yoga practices including pranayama, stretches, and relaxation techniques, highlighting their benefits in managing stress, anxiety, and sedentary habits.
The interactive session was attended by 24 participants and received highly positive feedback. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Shameema M, Assistant Professor. The program effectively encouraged wellness and empowerment through yoga.
