WORLD OZONE DAY CELEBRATION
On behalf of World Ozone Day, the Postgraduate Department of Microbiology, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a series of events to raise awareness about the importance of conserving the ozone layer. The main objective of the program was to educate individuals about the significance of preserving the ozone layer and its impact on the environment. The day's events commenced with a pledge ceremony held at 9:30 AM in Microbiology class. The ceremony aimed to encourage participants to make a personal commitment to take actions that contribute to the conservation of the ozone layer. Students, faculty members, and staff were invited to participate in the pledge. The program was conducted under the motto, "Save the Layer Which is Up in the Air." This motto emphasized the urgency and importance of protecting the ozone layer for the benefit of present and future generations. In the afternoon, at 1:30 PM, a poster making competition was held as part of the World Ozone Day event. The competition aimed to engage the creative talents of the participants and allow them to visually express the significance of ozone conservation. A total of three participants took part in the poster making competition. They showcased their artistic abilities and creativity through their artwork. After careful evaluation, the winners were announced and the first prize was won by Shahana Sherin, Second and third prize were secured by Nitha Nasrin and Keerthana respectively. The PG Department of Microbiology, in collaboration with the IQAC, successfully organized the World Ozone Day event, which included a pledge ceremony and a poster making competition. The program provided an opportunity for participants to express their commitment to ozone conservation and raise awareness about the importance of protecting the ozone layer. The event concluded on a positive note, highlighting the need for collective efforts in safeguarding the environment for a sustainable future.

International woman’s day – Drawing Competition
International Women's Day is celebrated globally on March 8th each year to recognize and honor the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. On this occasion, a drawing competition was organized by PG Department of Microbiology for students to promote gender equality, empower young artists, and encourage their creative expression. The drawing competition was conducted to provide students with a platform to showcase their artistic skills and express their thoughts on gender equality and women's empowerment. Students from various schools participated in the competition, showcasing their talent and creativity through their artwork. The theme of the drawing competition revolved around gender equality and women's empowerment. The students were encouraged to depict through their artwork the importance of equal rights, opportunities, and respect for women in society. They were encouraged to highlight the achievements of women in various fields, break stereotypes, and emphasize the need for a more inclusive and equitable society. The drawing competition organized on International Women's Day provided students with a platform to express their thoughts and creativity regarding gender equality and women's empowerment. Through their artwork, the students conveyed powerful messages, promoting awareness and understanding of the importance of gender equality.
