On December 2, 2024, National Pollution Control Day was observed at M.P. Narayana Menon Hall, organized by the PG Department of Microbiology, GEMS Arts and Science College. The event, featuring Green Ambassadors (Haritha Karma Sena), began with a welcome address by Ms. Resna N K, HOD of Microbiology, highlighting the importance of pollution control. Mr. Shibin E P, Assistant Engineer at the Pollution Control Board, delivered an insightful talk on pollution and control measures. Felicitations by Mr. Shajeerkhan, Panchayath Assistant Secretary, and a vote of thanks by Ms. Shabeena, Health Inspector, emphasized collective action for a healthier environment.
