Face Painting
Department Of mathematics association with IQAC conducted a face painting competition behalf of Science Day on 28/02/2023 The competition was held on room number 906 at 10:30am,programme was coordinated by mathematics students. There were 10 participants in competition and they were tasked with creating a unique and creative design inspired by science. The participants were given 2 hours complete their designs, after which the judges evaluated the designs There were three judges for the competition Subeesh [Asst.Professor] Depat.English, Mr. Niyaf [Asst.professor] Dept.ofCommerce, Mr.Christy [Asst.Professor] Dept. of BMMC all of whom were experts in the field of, science and arts, the judges evaluated the design based on criteria such as creativity, originality, message clarity and overall impression. After careful evaluation, the judges selected the following winner 1st place Ayisha Rifa Ch, 2nd place Adhithya and Sana Bahmah and 3rd place Naseeh Abdul Azzez and Nashida VP The competition was a great success and provided a unique platform to showcase the intersection of art and science. The competition not only promoted creativity and talent but also raised awareness about the importance of science in our daily lives. The event was a fitting celebration for World Science Day, and we look forward to hosting similar events in the future

Statistics Day 29
The Department of Mathematics, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), celebrated Statistics Day on 29th June 2022, at 2:00 PM in room number 706. The event saw the participation of 15 students. The main highlight of the celebration was a lecture on the topic "Statistics in Daily Life." The lecture was delivered by Jayasree KG, the esteemed Head of the Department of Mathematics. The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Fathima Farsana, Mathematics Association secretary, second-year mathematics student. Following that, Jayasree KG, as the Head of the Department, delivered the presidential address. The main speakers of the event were Fathima Farsana C and Farhana P V, both second-year Mathematics students, and Thabsheera P and Aravind P, both third-year Mathematics students. These students shared valuable insights into the practical applications of statistics in everyday life, making the lecture informative and engaging. Shiba CK and Abdul Basheer U were also present to felicitate the occasion. Their presence added a sense of appreciation and encouragement to the participants and speakers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mohammed Shaijal Ameen K. He expressed gratitude to all the attendees and highlighted the significance of celebrating Statistics Day, emphasizing the importance of statistics in various fields. Overall, the Statistics Day celebration provided an excellent platform for students to learn and appreciate the relevance of statistics in their daily lives. The lecture and speeches contributed to increasing awareness and understanding of this important branch of mathematics.
