The Department of Management Studies, GEMS Arts and Science College (Autonomous), organized a special academic session titled “Master Research Through an Impactful Project” on 17th December 2025 at MP Narayana Menon Hall, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The program commenced with a welcome and introductory address by Mr. Sandeepan, Assistant Professor, Head of the Department of Management Studies. In his address, he emphasized the significance of research-oriented learning in management education and highlighted how impactful research projects contribute to students’ academic growth and professional development. He also introduced the Resource person to the gathering.
The session was handled by Dr. Vinod V. M., Calicut University Librarian & Head, Research Desk (Retd.), who delivered an informative and engaging talk on the essentials of conducting meaningful research. He discussed topic selection, research methodology, literature review, and the importance of originality and ethics in research. The session was interactive, with students actively participating in the discussion.
The programme witnessed active participation from second-year and final-year students of the Department of Management Studies. The session was made interactive through a question-and-answer segment, during which students clarified their doubts and gained practical guidance on project planning and execution.
The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Naveen Mohan, Principal, and Dr. Finos A., IQAC Director, Dr. Nayana (Assistant Professor & Research Officer), whose presence added value and encouragement to the academic initiative.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Semeena Mol, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies. She expressed sincere gratitude to the Resource person, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active involvement and support in making the programme a meaningful success.
The program concluded as scheduled with positive feedback from participants, making the session a valuable learning experience for aspiring researchers.
