The Department of Management Studies and the Department of Multimedia, in association with Thoughts Mind Lab, Calicut, organized a Career Guidance Programme – "Career Steps 2K26: Develop Emotional Intelligence – Build Exceptional Leadership" on 30 July 2026 (Thursday) from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the M.P. Narayana Menon Hall, GEMS Arts and Science College (Autonomous). The programme was conducted for the final-year BBA and BA Multimedia students, with a total of 66 students participating.
The session was led by Mr. Yogi Madathil Sudheep Raj, Certified Mind Tuning Practitioner and Counsellor, who served as the Resource Person. He delivered an engaging and interactive session on the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Leadership Skills in personal growth and professional success. The session emphasized self-awareness, emotional regulation, effective communication, teamwork, confidence, empathy, decision-making, and leadership qualities required in today's competitive workplace.
The active participation and enthusiastic interaction of the students made the session highly engaging, resulting in the programme being extended until 12:00 PM. Faculty members, supporting staff, and students actively participated, making the programme a meaningful and successful career guidance initiative that inspired students to prepare confidently for their future careers.
