"Echosnap" to celebrate World Environment Day.

The PG Department of English Language and Literature organized a commemorative event titled "Echosnap" to celebrate World Environment Day. Designed to blend literary expression with visual arts, the program provided a creative platform for participants to engage with environmental themes.
The event took place on June 5th, 2026, running for a duration of three hours from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This intentional timing allowed participants to dedicate their morning to celebrating global environmental awareness through structured departmental activities. The scheduling aligned directly with the global observance of World Environment Day, emphasizing the department's focus on raising ecological awareness through academic and creative avenues.Central to the "Echosnap" program were two featured competitive tracks: a Poetry competition and a Photography competition. These contests encouraged participants to explore and document the natural world, utilizing both textual and visual mediums to highlight environmental beauty and conservation challenges. Overall, the program went exceptionally well, achieving great success through the enthusiastic participation of the students and the dedicated support of the teachers.
