The event aimed to honor the life and literary contributions of one of Kerala's most beloved and influential writers, MT Vasudevan Nayar. The programme sought to celebrate his profound impact on Malayalam literature, focusing on his novels, short stories, and his deep connection with Kerala's socio-cultural fabric. MT's works have shaped the literary landscape of the state and continue to resonate with readers across generations. The programme venue is MP Narayanamenon hall, 70 students were participated. The commemoration began with a warm welcome speech by Abshar Mohammed P (fourth semester MA English student). Mr.Rihas KT (HOD of English derpartment) introduced the significance of MT Vasudevan Nayar's contribution to literature and also outlined his major works, particularly highlighting his ability to intertwine human emotions with social contexts, and how his stories reflect the cultural and historical evolution of Kerala.
Chief guest Dr. Muhammed Naseer K E shared his insights into MT's works, particularly his celebrated novels like, "Randamoozham" (Second Turn), and "Bhaskara Pattelarum Ente Jeevithavum". They also touched on his enduring impact on contemporary Malayalam literature, also included dramatic readings from his short stories and novels. The readings brought the audience closer to MT's narrative brilliance, with some of the most iconic moments in his literature being brought to life. On the occassion teachers conducted a quiz competion and a Poetry competition related to MTs life and works. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Rifa N. K (sixth semester BA English student) acknowledging the contributions of the students, teachers and the guest
