BEYOND THE CLASSROOM: EXPLORING KLF

The PG Department of English Language and Literature, GEMS Arts and Science College (Autonomous), organized an academic visit titled “Beyond the Classroom: Exploring KLF” for the S2 MA English students on 23 January 2026 at the Kerala Literature Festival, held at Kozhikode Beach. A total of 14 students from S2 MA English participated in the programme. The students were escorted and guided by Arya P., Assistant Professor, PG Department of English. The group reached the venue at 10:00 AM and actively participated in the literary sessions organized as part of the festival. The students attended a talk delivered by Sunita Williams, which provided valuable insights into her experiences and perspectives. Later, at 1:30 PM, the students attended a session by Prakash Raj, which was inspiring and thought-provoking.
In addition to attending these sessions, the students explored the various book stalls and exhibitions at the festival venue. This allowed them to interact with contemporary literary works, publishers, and the wider literary community. The visit served as a meaningful learning experience beyond the classroom, enabling students to engage with prominent personalities, contemporary discussions, and the vibrant literary atmosphere of the festival. The group concluded the visit and returned from the venue at 5:00 PM.
