The Department of Computer Science, GEMS Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Ramapuram, organized a Networking Bootcamp on 8th December 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Computer Science Lab. The session was conducted as part of the department’s continuous efforts to enhance students' technical knowledge and practical exposure to emerging technologies. The resource person for the bootcamp was Ms. Shibla Shereen, Academic Head at Leads Network Academy. She is an experienced trainer in the field of computer networking and is widely recognized for her expertise in hands-on network configuration, cybersecurity fundamentals, and industry-based networking practices. The session began with a welcome address, followed by an introduction of the resource person. During the bootcamp, the students were given insights into the fundamentals of computer networks, configuration of network devices, routing and switching concepts, and the importance of networking certifications such as CCNA. The resource person also demonstrated practical networking tools and real-world applications, making the session highly interactive and informative. The program provided students with valuable learning experiences, especially for those aspiring to build a career in networking and cybersecurity domains. The participants actively engaged in the session and clarified their doubts regarding certification paths, job roles, and skill requirements in the networking field. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, IQAC, the Department of Computer Science, and the resource person for making the program informative and successful. The Networking Bootcamp served as an enriching platform for students to gain practical knowledge and understanding of networking concepts relevant to current industry standards.
