NETWORK ESSENTIALS:FOUNDATION OF DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY

The Department of Computer Applications, in association with Infocampus Calicut, conducted an insightful session on the topic “Network Essentials: Foundation of Digital Connectivity” on 13th August 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The session was held at the BCA classroom and was attended by students and faculty members of the department.
The objective of the session was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts of computer networks, their architecture, and the crucial role they play in the digital world. The expert resource person from Infocampus Calicut explained the basic components of networking, including network topologies, IP addressing, routers, switches, and various types of network configurations used in real-world applications.
The session also highlighted the importance of networking in today’s technology-driven environment, emphasizing its relevance in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data communication. The resource person further discussed career opportunities in the networking field, guiding students on how to pursue certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, and Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) to enhance their employability.
Students enthusiastically participated in the session, engaging in interactive discussions and clarifying their doubts regarding network setup, troubleshooting, and future trends in digital connectivity. The session provided valuable insights into how strong networking knowledge forms the foundation for advanced IT infrastructure and digital transformation.
