The PG Department of General Biotechnology at GEMS Arts and Science College celebrated its Department Association Day – Bio Utsav 2K26 on 12 January 2026. The event was held at MP Narayana Menon Hall from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The chief guest, Dr Ghanim Fajish, a biomedical scientist from the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), Nancy, France, delivered an inspiring talk on the topic “The DNA of Purpose: Using Your PhD as a Passport to Global Impact”. His session motivated the students to align their research with meaningful, worldwide contributions.
The program also recognized outstanding achievements of the students:
- Best Student Award was presented to UG and PG whose exemplary performance in academics and extracurricular activities set a benchmark for peers.
- Appreciated Rank Holders* secured the top positions in the biotechnology program and were felicitated for their dedication and excellence.
