Institutional Distinctiveness

GEMS being a Co-operative institution, always give importance to participative learning method. Our approach transcends traditional teacher-centered methods, placing emphasis on active engagements, collaboration and critical thinking .Our system of education shift the focus from passive absorption of information to active involvement.

In a Co-operative society, members actively participate in decision making process, collectively owning and managing the organization. This democratic approach resonates with the essence of participative learning, where learners actively engage in discussions, group activities and hands on experiences.

Since the Co-operative societies and Participative learning methods are both instrumental in fostering collaboration, shared decision making and community driven initiatives, care has been given to emphasize the importance of participative learning in our institution. Like in a co-operative society, individuals unite to achieve common economic, social or cultural goals, this collaborative spirit mirrors the principle of participative learning where active engagement and shared knowledge lead to a richer educational experience.

The principles of transparency and openness are integral to both co-operative societies and participative learning environments. In co-operatives, members have access to information about the organization’s operations, ensuring a sense of accountability and trust. Similarly participative learning environment promotes transparency in knowledge sharing and decision making processes, creating a culture of openness.

Every student thus in a co-operative society is the owner of the institution and the synergy between the society and the stakeholder leads the institution to sustainable progress what we are experiencing now.The institution through participative development emphasizes the inclusion of Marginalized voices, fostering social equity, which is the most distinctive nature of the Institution.

We are shaping students who are not only academically proficient but also socially conscious and equipped for the challenges of the future. The fusion of Co operative Society and participative development stands as the gem of progress, illuminating the path for institution to cultivate well rounded individuals poised for lifelong success and societal contributions.
