MODERN ACCOUNTING
PG Department of Commerce conducted a one day workshop on MODERN ACCOUNTING for final year B.Com students. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest of the programme, Mr.SHAFEEQ.M.C on 9th January 2023, at the old Library Hall. The resource person handled the interactive section, and he discussed different topics related to modern accounting & interviews such as how to gain confidence in an interview, professionalism, dressing, communication, etc. Moreover, he has given some tips for a successful interview. After his discussion, our departmental students were positively interacting with the resource person. His expertise, experience, and assistance to the students and other participants swamped this segment. The welcome speech was given by Mr. Sivakumar. K (HOD) and the vote of thanks were given by Mr. Mohammed Niyaf. C (Assistant Professor) of the department of Commerce. The programme was a rebound success because of the participation and support of the principal and the management members of GEMS.
HANDS ON TRAINING PROGRAMME ON RECYCLING LED BULB
The PG Department of commerce & IEDC Gems Arts and Science College in association with IQAC organized Hands on Training Programme on RECYCLING LED BULB on 24th March 2022, Thursday on 10 am. The program intended to nurture the skill of plastic and electronic waste management with the motto of ‘Earn while learn’. Apart from a good number of students, programme was attended by Principal, Vice Principal, IEDC Coordinator, NSS coordinator, HOD and faculty members of PG Department of Commerce. The programme formally began with the welcome address delivered by Mr. Mohammed Ashraf, Vice Principal. He focused on the benefit and relevance of waste management and the attractiveness of LED bulb recycling. The event presided by Ashique M, a successful entreprenuer. He mention the voyage of the resource person in entrepreneurship and his achievements and the future of training programs like this. The program inaugurated by Dr. Naveen Mohan, Principal He talked a lot about relevance of recycling initiative especially by students and the impact in society. He appreciated commerce department and IEDC for conducting this kind of Training program. IEDC Coordinator Asker Ali and NSS coordinator Mr. Junaid V felicitated the session. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks given by Mr. Safvan K Asst. Prof. PG Department of Commerce.
