WEBINAR ON COVID STRESS BUSTERS
On June 22nd, 2021, the NSS GEMS unit organized an insightful webinar titled "COVID Stress Busters," in collaboration with VPS Lakeshore Hospital Kochi. This timely initiative aimed to address the escalating stress levels brought about by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Led by Dr. Xavier PJ, the Head of the Psychiatry and De-addiction Department at VPS Lakeshore Hospital, the webinar provided valuable insights into managing stress during these challenging times. Dr. Xavier PJ's expertise in the field of psychiatry added weight to the discussion as he delved into various stress-relief techniques. His presentation shed light on effective methods to cope with the psychological impact of the pandemic. Additionally, Dr. Xavier emphasized the significance of vaccination in combating the virus and alleviating anxieties associated with it. By sharing these insights, he played a crucial role in offering support and guidance to the participants. The involvement of Mr. Vasudevan, Vice Chairman of GEMS College, and Mr. Junaid, the NSS Program Officer, added a notable dimension to the webinar. Their participation underscored the college's commitment to students' mental well-being during these unprecedented times. TRADE FAIR IN ASSOCIATION WITH KUDUMBASHREE PUZHAKKATIRI PANCHAYATH
On 27th August 2019, PG Department of Commerce organized a trade fair in association with Kudumbashree Puzhakkatiri Panchayath. The trade fair conducted in college ground at 10.00 am. 58 students were participated in the program. The trade fair aimed to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase and sell their products. The event took place at the college ground and witnessed the participation of 65 students. The event aimed to promote entrepreneurship and create awareness about the importance of supporting local businesses. The students actively engaged with the participants and explored the wide variety of products on display. They interacted with the entrepreneurs, asking questions about their products and appreciating their craftsmanship. The students showed enthusiasm and interest in supporting local businesses and understanding the stories behind the products. The trade fair showcased a wide range of products, including handicrafts, clothing, accessories, organic produce, and homemade food items. The participants displayed their skills and creativity through their unique and high-quality products. The students had the opportunity to purchase these products directly from the entrepreneurs, thereby supporting local economic growth. The trade fair in association with Kudumbashree Puzhakkatiri Panchayath was a successful event that brought together students, local entrepreneurs, and artisans. The event not only provided a platform for showcasing and selling products but also created awareness about the importance of supporting local businesses.
