The NSS Gemsconducted a remarkable event, known as "Njaarunadal," at Puzhakatiri, Pathiramanna Pada Sekhara. The program was inaugurated with grace and enthusiasm by Puzhakkatiri's agriculture officer, Smt. Babita. The presence of esteemed individuals such as Puzhakkatiri Panchayat Vice President Sri Bawa, Young Farmer Award Winner Sri. Muhammad Salman, and NSS program officer Junaid added prestige to the occasion. Even amidst heavy rains and challenging muddy conditions, the participants of Njaarunadal demonstrated their dedication and determination. The act of Njarunadeel, involving the planting of seedlings, and the traditional practice of Njatupattu turned into an extraordinary experience for the students. Despite the adverse weather, their unwavering commitment to environmental preservation shone through, transforming the event into a testament of their passion for sustainability.The presence of agricultural officer Smt. Babita, along with Sri Bawa, Sri. Muhammad Salman, and Junaid, highlighted the collaborative efforts between local authorities, accomplished individuals, and the NSS Gems team. This convergence of minds and hearts showcased a shared vision of fostering eco-consciousness and nurturing a sense of community responsibility.As the seedlings were planted amidst the rain and mud, the participants of Njaarunadal not only sowed the seeds of vegetation but also sowed the seeds of inspiration and hope. VADAKKINI FOOD FEST
In a noble effort to support the treatment of two patients, the NSS GEMS unit organized a heartwarming food fest named "Vadakkini." This event brought together the entire college community, uniting them for a compassionate cause. The innovative approach of holding a competition based on departments added an element of excitement, resulting in a total of 14 vibrant stalls showcasing diverse cuisines and creative arrangements. The competition not only stirred up friendly rivalry but also awakened a renewed sense of enthusiasm within the college. The array of different foods and unique stall designs provided both teachers and students with an exceptional culinary and visual experience. The event, which began with the inauguration by Dr. Naveen Mohan Sir at 11 am, marked the start of a day filled with camaraderie, gastronomic delights, and heartfelt contributions. Recognizing the efforts put forth by the participants, the event organizers offered prizes in various categories. The awards for the best food, best stall, and the stall with the highest sales motivated participants to showcase their culinary and creative talents, resulting in a vibrant and engaging fest. The festivities continued throughout the day, keeping the campus abuzz with energy and activity until 4 pm. Beyond the excitement and enjoyment, the heartwarming aspect of the event was the collective contribution towards a noble cause. The food fest managed to raise a substantial sum of 62,000 rupees, serving as a testament to the power of community engagement and compassion Through this event, the NSS GEMS unit showcased not only their dedication to aiding those in need but also their ability to unite the college community for a higher purpose.
