The Department of Multimedia organized Shutter Miles 2K24: A North Indian Photography and Video Production Camp for 30 BA Multimedia S6 students from 24th December 2024 to 3rd January 2025. Accompanied by faculty members Muhammed Binshad K (HoD), Muhammed Shammas K, and Rekha R, the program aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in travel video production and thematic photography, fostering their creative and technical skills.The camp focused on various photographic styles, including street, architectural, cultural, food, and landscape photography. The itinerary covered Agra, Delhi, Kullu, and Manali, each location offering distinct opportunities to explore and capture stunning visuals.
Highlights of the camp included photographing the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra, exploring street and architectural photography in Delhi, and capturing the breathtaking landscapes of Kullu and Manali. Adventure activities such as trekking, river rafting, and paragliding added exciting dynamic elements to the photography and video content, enhancing the students’ portfolios.In addition to photography, students created a travel documentary under the guidance of faculty members, blending compelling visuals with narratives to encapsulate the journey’s essence. This integrated approach offered students practical insights into storytelling and video production.Shutter Miles 2K24 concluded with students producing a professional photography magazine and travel documentary as academic outputs. The program successfully enriched their practical learning experiences, enabling them to hone their multimedia skills and develop a deeper appreciation for visual storytelling
