On March 22, 2019, at 10 am, the PG department of Microbiology conducted an elocution competition in room no. 408 to commemorate World Water Day. The event witnessed the active participation of six individuals who showcased their oratory skills and knowledge on the importance of water conservation. The competition provided a platform for the participants to deliver passionate speeches on various topics related to water, such as water scarcity, pollution, sustainable usage, and the need for conservation. Each participant presented their viewpoints eloquently, highlighting the significance of preserving this precious resource. The event fostered a sense of awareness and urgency among the participants and the audience about the global water crisis. In recognition of National Cancer Awareness Day, observed on November 7th each year, the Department of Microbiology organized a slogan making competition. The event aimed to raise awareness about cancer and promote its prevention and early detection. With the participation of 8 individuals, the competition proved to be an engaging and educational activity. The Department of Microbiology hosted a slogan making competition in Room No. 408 at 11:00 am. The competition provided an opportunity for students and faculty members to express their creativity and develop impactful slogans that would resonate with the public. The event aimed to contribute to the ongoing efforts of raising awareness about cancer and emphasizing the importance of early detection Participants were given a set time to create slogans that focused on raising awareness about cancer, encouraging healthy lifestyle choices, promoting regular screenings, and advocating for support and empathy for cancer patients and survivors. Each participant presented their slogan before the panel of judges, comprising the faculty members from the Department of Microbiology. The slogans were evaluated based on creativity, clarity, and effectiveness in conveying the intended message. After careful consideration, the judges declared the winner of the competition. The winning slogan was selected based on its impactful message and ability to inspire action towards cancer awareness.
