on world environment Day – quiz competition
On June 12, 2018, at 9:30 am, the PG department of Microbiology organized a quiz competition to celebrate World Environmental Day (05.06.2018). The event took place in room no. 408 and witnessed the participation of 10 enthusiastic contestants. The quiz aimed to test the participants' knowledge and awareness regarding environmental issues and conservation. The competition was conducted in an engaging and interactive manner, with participants eagerly answering questions related to topics such as climate change, biodiversity, pollution, and sustainable practices. The questions challenged the contestants' understanding of environmental concepts and encouraged them to think critically. Throughout the competition, the participants showcased their keen interest in environmental matters and their dedication to making a positive impact on the planet. The event not only provided a platform for showcasing their knowledge but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the participants, as they shared their insights and experiences. The quiz competition on World Environmental Day served as an effective means to promote environmental awareness and encourage responsible actions. It highlighted the importance of addressing environmental challenges and instilled a sense of responsibility in the participants to protect and preserve our planet.

WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
The PG Department of Microbiology, in association with the IQAC, organized, a water quality assessment program. Samples were collected from students, teachers, and households in each panchayat. The program focused on assessing the quality of water sources and raising awareness about the importance of clean and safe water. The collected samples would be analysed to evaluate water quality parameters and identify any potential issues. The water quality assessment program aimed to evaluate the quality of water sources and promote the significance of clean and safe water.
