BLUE SKIES AHEAD
PG Dept of Biotechnology and Microbiology in association with IQAC conducted a motivation session for First semester students on 21st October 7 pm. The guest speaker was N.K.Zaheera Banu, Assistant professor, Department of Biochemistry, Assistant co ordinator of College councelling cell, EMEA College of Arts and Science, Kondotty. Title of the Motivation session was Blue skies ahead. Whole students and teachers of Biotechnology and Microbiology Departments participated in the session.

CELEBRATION ON WORLD MICROBES DAY: SPEECH ON THE SPOT COMPETITION
Speech on the spot is a great way of building personal development on many levels such as boosting confidence, critical thinking, personal satisfaction, building leadership skills, learning performance skills etc.With an aim to celebrate the WORLD MICROBES DAY, the Department of Microbiology in association with IQAC conducted ‘SPEECH ON THE SPOT’ competition in online mode for the students of UG and PG microbiology on 17.09.2021 from 7 pm to 8.30 pm. The program was coordinated by Dr. Anjanadevi I. P, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology. The topic was on different microbial species and was given just 4 minutes before they were given a chance to present it. Majida M, Shanooba K and Shanida T P of second semester PG Microbiology secured 1st, IInd and IIIrd place respectively.
