Webinar On IPR in the Digital Age: Challenges and Opportunities
The Department of Mathematics, in association with IQAC, conducted a webinar on the topic “IPR IN THE DIGITAL AGE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES” on 16-05-2023. The webinar took place on the Google Meet Platform and had 37 participants from Gems Arts and Science College and 15 from Majlis Arts and Science College Puramannur witnessed the meeting. The session commenced at 2.30 p.m. with a warm welcome delivered by Akhil P P, an Assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics. The main speaker for the session was Jayasree KG, an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics. Jayasree shared insights into the challenges and opportunities surrounding IPR in the Digital Age. She discussed the evolving landscape of intellectual property protection, focusing on the digital context and the unique challenges it presents. The webinar concluded at 3:30 p.m. with an appreciation word delivered by Aiswarya Govind, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics. Aiswarya expressed gratitude to Jayasree for her valuable insights and thanked the participants for their active engagement and participation.

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY
Conducted three mathematical games named Play and Derive , In forenoon session sudoku and Geometric chart competition were conducted. For Sudoku there were 35 participants. For Geometric chart there were 7 participants ,For sudoku there were only one participant solved the puzzle. Badar [S6 BBA got the First Prize For Geometric Chart.Keerthana[S1 MB] and Adhithya [S4 BMMC] shared the second prize, Hafsathul Mubeen got the third prize. Afternoon session, conducted Rubik’s Cube solving puzzle, there were 11 participants. Muhammed Irshad C[ S6 B.com Cop] ,Muhammed Shibili[S4 BCA] and Muhammed Ashfaq V [S4 BBA] won the first ,second and third prize respectively
