The "Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking Seminar" was a comprehensive event aimed at raising awareness about the critical issues of cybersecurity and ethical hacking. Held on 27/07/2023 Thursday at 1:30pm to 3:30pm in our department lab, the seminar brought together cybersecurity experts, ethical hackers, industry professionals, and students to explore the evolving landscape of cyber threats, preventive measures, and the ethical use of hacking for the greater good. Key Topics Covered: The seminar commenced with an overview of the cybersecurity landscape, highlighting the growing significance of digital security in today's interconnected world. Participants were introduced to the various types of cyber threats, including malware, phishing, ransomware, and social engineering. Ethical Hacking Fundamentals: The focus then shifted to ethical hacking, providing insights into the mindset and methodologies of ethical hackers. The distinction between ethical hacking and malicious hacking was emphasized, highlighting the need for responsible and lawful practices.
