The Department of Social Work at GEMS Arts and Science College organized a one-day theatre workshop on November 26, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the rooftop auditorium. The session, led by Mr. Najeem Yunis, Assistant Professor of Malayalam at MPMMSN Trusts College, Shoranur, focused on the role of theatre in storytelling, social awareness, and personal growth.Dr. Anitha Parveen J, Head of the Department, inaugurated the program with a welcome address, while Ms. Nihma Sherin V, a first-year MSW student, hosted the event. The workshop included ice-breaking activities, theatrical warm-ups, role-plays, and group performances, fostering creativity, teamwork, and self-expression among students.Participants shared positive feedback during the reflection session, highlighting newfound confidence and appreciation for theatre's transformative potential in social work. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Suhana M, acknowledging the efforts of the resource person, faculty, and participants.
